Sure is. "Willys" is stamped on the sides of the hood and might be painted orange or red.

My son said the same thing, that is a project and a half, but he would love to have it.  He said he would use it too, not just set it up!  Was that yours?

I just went to Ask.com. Typed Willys.  Lots of available parts there.  Those things are classics.

Great project Harold. You will have a great time with that one. Funny thing is, I just got my '74 CJ5 running today. What a coincidence. I can't wait to follow your progress.

Thanks, Stilgar. This is something I have wanted to finish for a long time. I'll remember to take my good camera along for this puppy. I'm only interested in getting all of the mechanicals up. It will probably stay mostly ugly. This is staying...

Mary - This has been in my dads family forever. It's in a corner of my moms pole barn. But not for too much longer. My brother and I will be pulling it out soon so I can get gas into it and hose it off.

Any second now, all you men are going to start making grunting noises. I'm just kidding.  This looks like a fun project--the kind you can sink your teeth into, and get a lot of satisfaction from.  I can't wait to see some progress shots!

IMO - This project looks like a ton of work. It will be a major job just to get it running. It's been setting there long enough for a ground hog to build a burrow under it, so it's been a while.

Seems like these projects go one step forward, then two steps backwards. After putting 3 gas line filters on the 1956 Chevy, the gunk was still clogging up the filters and causing the car to stall, so a new tank has been ordered.

Add to your list some kind of oil or assembly lube. We used to use STP and put it on all the crank bearings and cam bearings so it wouldn't screw up the bearings on first start. Also, you can smear Vasoline on any surface you don't want...

I got a tube of assembly lube a couple of weeks ago along with some different thread lockers. The head bolts came out with the nuts and they won't do that again after we are done. The machine shop had oil on the bare spots when they were done with the...

We got the head off and I soaked the valves with PBlaster. The cylinder walls looked pretty decent. Now to figure out the best way to loosen up the valves and decide if they are servicable or if we need some new ones.
