The right sidebar seems to have a repeat of the header or something in it. There's also two "Brian"s visiting the channel.

Here's a screengrab:

These two were harrassing me for corn when I got home from work.

The same tire decided to misbehave today.

This is a super single Michelin drive tire. I think the size is something like 445 R75/22.5 or something close to that. It takes the place of a pair of duals. With a smaller footprint on the ground, it helps to get a half mile per gallon better fuel mileage from less rolling resistance.

I had a request for tulip pictures for those that have the hotter climates that don't allow for the bulbed plants to live. I threw in some snow and dogs as an extra bonus.

This entire garden is planted to corn. Just got it in tonight. Smiler

We have really heavy clay, so we had to haul in blended topsoil like this. The main garden is the same way. I think the topsoil was a mix of sandy loam and turkey manure.

We only have potatoes and pumpkins planted here. The potatoes are in the unworked strip. One of them was emerged tonight. The rest of the garden will go in later. Corn was also planted in the raised bed garden. It used to have herbs and strawberries, but it got repurposed this spring.

I guess these two gilts have names now. Lightning is on the left and Polka Dot is on the right. Several other names were suggested by friends that related to good eats. Last week Lightning had something that wasn't getting better, sneezing that got worse, and I gave her two shots, two days apart, of oxytetracycline 3ml IM.  Luckily we still had the stuff in the fridge from last year. Doesn't expire until 2008. I only had to get out a fresh syringe and needle this time. She seems to have gotten better.

Last weekend, I painted the roof of our "tent on wheels" to seal up the leaks. I might put on a second coat this weekend if the weather holds up decent. I went with the better white plastic paint instead of the usual fibered aluminum.  We got a camper cheap off of eBay last year to take to the county fair while we have kids that are doing the animal projects. Lisa put in some new subflooring already and took out the OEM table. I need to get some new marker lamps wired in. I also need to get license plates. But I got held up with that as I now need to present a Social Security card to get plates for a new vehicle. I don't know where my original went to, so I asked for a replacement at the SS office today. It's kind of different seeing an armed private security guard there. I don't get to see too many of those guys, which is probably a good thing. Although, this guy was VERY decent and helpful. I've seen much worse from unarmed ones at a few gates.

Tomorrow, I'll be in Holland, MI. I'll try to get some tulip pictures. Wink

I think that might be it for todays news. I'll try to catch up with all of this last weeks stuff here this weekend. I got a little behind on my reading this week with the sleeping, eating, and working deal getting in the way this week.

Of the Cincinnati downtown. For some goofy reason, I can never seem to be able to remember how to spell Cincinnati.

This is going north into Ohio from Kentucky. The south traffic is going overhead on the upper deck. The Cincinnati skyline is seen through the ironwork.

It's kind of hard to tell, but there's another tunnel opening just beyond the one that I'm shooting from.

Besides the wiper blade being in the way?

1 - The reflective triangles were not set out according to Department of Transportation regulations. The first triangle is to be 10 feet away from the rear of the trailer. Then the second triangle is to set 100 feet behind the first. Then the third set 100 feet behind the second, in this instance. Someone forgot their training.

2 - This is what our insurance company representative would consider to be an "unfortunate event" after the driver went "brain dead". He or she is stuck in the mud after deciding to pull over on the shoulder. My guess would be that the truck is loaded with roughly 44,000 pounds of soup from the worlds largest soup making plant. That would make the gross weight of the unit in question between 75-78k.

The pine trees in the background are for sale by one of my brothers if any of you are interested for your landscaping needs. Yet most of his sales are after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. Wink

Last night we went to a 4-H feeder pig sale. Lisa and I almost fell out of our chairs when the first one went for $300.00+. Last year we paid $120.00 each and thought that was too much. We gave $200.00 for the smaller, younger purebred Yorkshire and $185.00 for the larger York-Hampshire mix. I wasn't allowed to bid on a third.
